Voice input and study setup bug fixes

Fixed voice input tooltip text and resolved critical bugs preventing study setup, including moderator removal and audio recording issues.

Bug Fixes

  • Clarified voice input tooltip: Updated the voice input button tooltip to accurately reflect the current functionality without outdated keyboard shortcut references
  • Moderator removal now persists: Fixed an issue where removed moderators would reappear after saving study settings
  • Audio recording behavior corrected: Fixed unintended audio auto-recording in chat that occurred when using voice input

  • Shared inbox with email threading: Added the ability to send follow-up emails and track participant replies directly within studies, including an email timeline view to see all communication history with each participant

Improvement

Updated subscription credits and fixed billing calculations

Fixed a bug where yearly subscription customers were receiving monthly credit amounts instead of their correct yearly amounts, and updated credit values across all subscription plans.

  • Fixed yearly subscription billing — Yearly subscribers are now credited the correct yearly amount instead of the monthly fallback amount
  • Updated subscription credit values — Starter plan credits decreased from 100 to 99 per month (1200 to 990 yearly); Pro plan credits decreased from 165 to 149 per seat per month (1980 to 1490 yearly)
  • Improved email accessibility — Invitation emails now support plain text format as an alternative to HTML, improving compatibility across different email clients

Feature

Export analysis reports in Word and Markdown formats

Researchers can now export study analysis reports as Word documents and Markdown files in addition to PDF and CSV.

New Export Formats

  • Word (.docx) — Export your analysis as a fully-formatted Word document
  • Markdown (.md) — Export your analysis as Markdown for easy sharing and integration with other tools

Both formats support all survey and interview analysis types with complete data coverage, matching the existing PDF and CSV export options. Select your preferred format from the export dropdown on any analysis report.

Added duration warnings for AI interviews, BYOA incentive management, credit breakdown display, and study brief export capability.

  • AI Interview Duration Warnings: Tiered warning callouts now appear when setting AI interview duration:

    • 16-20 minutes: soft nudge suggesting a shorter duration
    • Over 20 minutes: strong warning about potential length and cost impact
  • BYOA Incentive Support: Optional incentive field for “bring your own audience” participants to specify custom incentives outside of CleverX’s panel management

  • Credit Breakdown Display: Clear visibility into credit costs across recruitment channels with balance and shortage warnings

  • Study Brief Export: Download a formatted study document from your study sidebar that includes all study details, recruitment settings, screeners, questions, tasks, and AI moderator configuration

Video Interview Rescheduling and Support Menu

Participants and researchers can now reschedule video interviews with flexible slot selection, and a new Support menu provides easier access to help.

  • Video interview rescheduling: Participants can reschedule their interviews by selecting from available time slots. Researchers can offer 1-3 alternative time slots to participants, who can accept or decline.
  • Support menu: A new “Support” option in the user avatar dropdown menu provides quick access to help resources.

  • Removed the floating chat bubble that was overlapping buttons on profile edit screens — support is now accessible via the dropdown menu instead.
  • Fixed online status display that was showing duplicate text.
  • Improved voice preview error messages to display more helpful information when audio issues occur.
