Product updates, new features, and improvements to the CleverX platform.
Feature
Global links and video diary preview support
Researchers can now use a single global link with custom identifiers for BYOA studies, and video diary tasks are fully supported in study previews.
New Features
Global Links for BYOA Studies: Researchers can now enable a global link as an alternative to unique links. A single reusable link with a placeholder can be customized per participant using researcher-supplied identifiers. The new Global Link tab in the Distribution view includes controls to enable/disable, view the template link, pause/resume distribution, and access detailed explanations of how identifiers work.
Video Diary Preview Support: Study previews now fully support video diary tasks, allowing researchers to test the video recording experience before launching a study.
Bug Fixes
Fixed a duplicate token issue that prevented multiple participants from joining open-mode source studies using the same study link token.
Improvement
Add funds and screener stability improvements
Restored in-panel payment flow for adding funds, fixed screener question ordering issues, and improved survey response exports.
New Features
In-panel add funds flow: You can now add funds directly from your billing page in a slide-over panel. Select an amount, choose your payment method, and complete payment without leaving the billing section.
Completed responses CSV export: New export option for downloading completed survey responses with participant name, screener answers, and survey answers in a clean spreadsheet format.
Bug Fixes
Fixed screener question deletion to target the correct question when multiple questions exist.
Fixed screener question numbering that was becoming misaligned after deleting and re-adding questions, which could cause exported data to show incorrect question positions.
Fixed the existing survey responses download to properly include screener answers for all participants, including those from internal testing.
Fixed survey response exports to exclude responses you’ve rejected, so the exported data matches your visible completion count.
Fixed the add funds panel to properly close after successful payment.
Feature
Smarter incentives and improved checkout flow
Dynamic incentive pricing now adapts to your audience type, and researchers can subscribe and launch studies in a single checkout flow.
New Features
Dynamic incentive pricing: Minimum and recommended incentive values now adjust based on whether you’re recruiting from general audiences or business audiences, helping you set more competitive compensation rates
Combined subscribe and launch flow: First-time researchers can now subscribe to a plan and launch a study in a single checkout, streamlining the onboarding experience
Prolific participation for B2B studies: Researchers running B2B studies can now recruit through Prolific by manually creating the study on Prolific’s platform and linking it to CleverX
Improvements
Better credit management: Credits are now consumed in a smarter order (expiring plan credits first, then wallet credits, then newly purchased credits), reducing waste and giving you more control over your spending
Clearer pricing display: The recruitment editor now shows real-time pricing guidance with minimum and recommended values pulled directly from the backend
Feature
Survey Response Tab in Pipeline Drawer
Researchers can now view individual survey responses for each participant directly in the pipeline drawer.
New Features
Added a per-participant Survey response tab to the pipeline drawer, making it easier to review individual responses without leaving the pipeline view
Improvement
Moderator requirements and auto-invite improvements
Moderated studies now require at least one active moderator, and participants who pass screeners are automatically invited.
Moderated Study Improvements
Require at least one active moderator: Moderated studies now enforce that at least one moderator must be active before launch. You can no longer remove or deactivate the last active moderator, preventing broken participant booking.
Improved scheduling editor UI: The scheduling and availability editor has been refreshed with a cleaner, more polished design while maintaining all advanced features like multi-slot scheduling and timezone support.
Participant Auto-Invite
Automatic invitations for screener passers: Participants who pass screeners in “Bring Your Own Audience” studies are now automatically invited to participate.
Improvement
Survey Response Management and Data Export Improvements
You can now undo rejected survey responses and download filtered data with better handling of your current filters.
New Capabilities
Undo rejected responses: You can now revert rejected survey responses back to waiting status, allowing you to reconsider and re-process them if needed.
Improved data export: Data downloads now properly reflect any filters you’ve applied, ensuring you export exactly the subset you’re looking at.
Improvement
Participant bookmarking, study loading, and data security improvements
Restored the ability to save participants to lists from search and browse pages, fixed study loading race conditions, improved participant data security on shared links, and added member export for groups.
New Features
Export group members: Researchers can now export a list of active group members as a spreadsheet, including contact information and location data, with the same access controls as the group itself.
Improvements
Bookmark participants again: Restored the bookmark icon on participant cards in search and browse pages, allowing researchers to quickly save participants to lists without navigating away.
Participant link reliability: Fixed an issue where participants revisiting a shared study link would see an error if they had logged out, even though they already had an active session for that study.
Source link security: Added a safeguard to prevent logged-in users from accidentally accessing another participant’s data when opening a shared study link.
Bug Fixes
Study loading stability: Fixed a race condition on the participate page that could leave the study in an error state and require a manual refresh, especially on source-link landings.
Fix
Fixed session filtering and display issues
Fixed multiple issues with how sessions are displayed and filtered in projects, including proper handling of cancelled sessions and duplicate entries.
Bug Fixes
Fixed the Sessions tab to properly filter out cancelled sessions
Resolved duplicate session entries so only the newest session per participant is shown
Fixed session visibility for client-rejected interviews
Restored recruitment identity information when reinviting participants, allowing re-takes to work properly
Improvement
Pricing lock implementation and video diary refinements
Added per-subscription pricing locks with updated rates and removed unnecessary redirect URL field from video diary tasks.
Improvements
Pricing updates: Implemented per-subscription pricing locks with current rate display
Video diary task editor: Removed unnecessary “Redirect URL” field and refined instruction editor formatting to match design specifications
Improvement
Improved participant filter organization and accuracy
Restructured how participant filtering works to use clearer field organization and ensure more accurate demographic targeting.
Improvements
Better filter structure: Participant filters now use direct field organization (location, age, gender, ethnicity, education, income, employment status, interests, and behaviors) instead of a nested array format, making it easier to manage recruitment criteria
More accurate targeting: Demographic filters like ethnicity and income are now resolved in real-time to ensure they match current panel availability and reduce targeting mismatches
